I know that I’m not sleeping and I have not stepped into the looking glass. How can this be the country that fights for freedom to be individual people governing with a little government interference? We are the country that does not start the fight but is not afraid to finish them.  We as a Nation have been our own biggest down fall, thanking that we can talk to people that would like to see us wiped of the face of the earth and our history gone with the wind.   We can’t keep thinking that talk and paying people and other governments off will make us save.

When do we start standing up for ourselves and be what our forefathers wonted us to be?

 

May God’s hands be on the soldiers, families and civilians that were killed and wounded at Fort Hood. Let the peace of his words fill their hearts and souls when the noise gets to loud. Let his heart beat comfort them in the middle of the night. 

May we never forget that we as a Nation are all fighting a force bigger than just one of us. We stand together or fall alone. 

I had e-mailed  a few Senators and congressman about all the taxes and climate bills coming out of D.C. and that if they don't stop we will at the polles.

There are a lot of commercials about gambling coming to Ohio.   Billion dollars going out of state, people from other states getting the new jobs……… and it goes on and on. If there is a billion dollars going out, I have a few questions. Is all that money helping the other States? If the Ohioans’ that go to gamble how much do they bring back to the state? On the other hand if the people from other states come here to work will they not become Ohioans’ paying taxes here? What about all the crime that comes with gambling.  All these questions and the underlining problems still facing Ohio. What will the State of Ohio gave up in Tax abatements to the casinos and other companies?

                We in the state of Ohio have more problems than casinos. Let’s start with public education. Each school district is asking for more money. The lottery, higher taxes, and cutting programs are not helping. One problem that I see is you can go from school district to school district and fine different textbooks and requirements to graduate. The state controls the education and they need to do so. Start with putting each student on the same textbook and requirements. Have the state take over the contracts with the Unions.    Then take all the cities that are in a school district and merge them into one bigger city. It would take all those cities down to one Mayor, police chef, fire chef and one city hall. With a these small cities merged into one.  Then we can get rid of RITA and CCF.

                The next step for the Ohio government to take is being the first to go to a flat tax of 5%. You live here and work here you pay here. No more tax abatements for business. It only helps to get a business in to the state but not keep it here. Once the tax abatement some businesses just move. To get the economy jumped stated again in Ohio starts with more than gambling coming to this state. It’s all one big puzzle and if we don’t get the edge and comer pieces in place the picture will not come together.

                There are more things to do in the State of Ohio get it back on track these are just a start to get people to talk and think outside the box. Then we can apply what works to the Federal government.

Before President Obama was sworn into office the media was comparing him to President Reagan, President Lincoln, President Kennedy, and President Roosevelt. The media talked about how good, strong and smart Obama was. I wonder if they were talking about the same President Obama that sets in the White House today. The same President that has a civil force that is being controlled by the Unions and Acorn knee capers. The same President that now has a web site to turn in people that don’t agree with his agenda. President Obama is acting more like President Woodrow Wilson and President Nixon. Having groups running around the country trying to put down people that don’t believe in the same thing. Like President Wilson did. Then there is President Nixon that the media made fun of for the enemy list that he kept. President Obama sounds more like President Wilson and Nixon with a little President Carter added in for economy blunders. Now how smart is President Obama really?

   I was talking to some people and it came to me. We as a Nation need to read the 12 steps to set us free from our government addiction. This addiction that we have as a Nation is. Let the Government do it. Our drug is the Government. The dealers are the leaders in the Government. They say trust me, believe in me, look to me to give you hope, and I’m the only one that can change your life.

   We need to read the 12 steps and know that we put our faith, hope and belief in God. We put the power of our day to day walk in God’s hand and ourselves. Stop looking to the leaders of a government that knows, if we start to take care of ourselves then the government only becomes a small part of the fabric of America. Then the people that call themselves Americans become the main part of this great Nation. We can work together to help each other though the 12 step program, it starts with admitting we have a problem and it is called the Government.

 

The 12 Steps

• Step 1 - We admitted we were powerless over our addiction - that our lives had become unmanageable
• Step 2 - Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity
• Step 3 - Made a decision to turn our will and our lives over to the care of God as we understood God
• Step 4 - Made a searching and fearless moral inventory of ourselves
• Step 5 - Admitted to God, to ourselves and to another human being the exact nature of our wrongs
• Step 6 - Were entirely ready to have God remove all these defects of character
• Step 7 - Humbly asked God to remove our shortcomings
• Step 8 - Made a list of all persons we had harmed, and became willing to make amends to them all
• Step 9 - Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others
• Step 10 - Continued to take personal inventory and when we were wrong promptly admitted it
• Step 11 - Sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God as we understood God, praying only for knowledge of God's will for us and the power to carry that out
• Step 12 - Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to other addicts, and to practice these principles in all our affairs

   I’m tiered for hearing about the American Government surplus that we had in the 90’s. In the first place there is no surplus when you are in debt. This is the biggest reason we are in the mess we are in as a Country. When our Government, Companies and families run day to day operations in debt then we as a Nation do not have a surplus, we just have debt.

   Let me put it in this analogy. I’m having a party for my kids and some of their friends. I ask you for 30 brownies and tell you I’ll pay you back. Before I pay you back the 30 brownies, I get 20 brownies. You come and ask for the 20 brownies, I tell you that those 20 brownies are a surplus and I will pay you the 30 brownies when I can pay it all at one time.

   The question is do I have a surplus are I’m I still in debt? The only time you have a surplus is when you can not sell your product and it set in the stories and warehouses wasting away.

   We as responsible people need to stop the insanity of living in debt. Pay off all debt. Sell what we have to, downsize and stop taken trips what are not needed. If the National government is going to keep getting deeper in debt, they will turn into a black hole and suck us all into it. The only lifeboats we as a people have are God and ourselves. With a chance to change the leaders in our government in 2010 if we will be able to vote.

With the world in a spiral decay, it is time Americans need to stop and remember what the last Monday of May means to us as a Country.

This day was set a side after the Civil War to honor the soldiers that died on both sides. With the order coming from General John A. Logan, national commander of the Grand Army of the Republic in his General Orders No. 11.

        We have to remember that these fighters of freedom were not just an American solder, they were and are someone’s son, daughter, father, mother, bother, sister, husband and wife. Some were drafted into service, most said “Sign me up, I will lay down my life to protect America and her interest.” We need to honor the ones who passed and the ones that are still here. Without their sacrifice this great Republic could not stand. They came from cities and the farms, from different religions and colors and walks of life. Once they put on the uniform of freedom under God and the American flag, they all became brothers. We should always be proud of our solders and shake their hands and say thank you. We do not have to always agree with their ideals. We should say thank you for taking up arms to protect all of our rights. 

        So as you go about your day with your family and friends say a prayer for the families that have lost someone or have someone fighting for your freedoms today.

            May God’s hand be on the ones who are in America’s service today and God’s peace with the families that have lost a brave love one in the line of duty. I pray also that God’s wisdom will never leave this great Country.

 President Obama’s speech at the National Archives, you said again that Guantanamo and torturing has hurt our moral standing in the world and that it may have caused more recruiting for the terrorists. 

 I believe our moral footing as a country was gone way before we were attacked on September 11, 2001 and the grown ups had to make some hard choices on how to protect us from anymore heinous suicide attacks.  Here are some of the things that lead up to our loss of moral footing in the world starting with taking God out of our schools in the 1960’s.   Roe vs. Wade, when the judicial branch said it was OK to kill an unborn child.  Letting some call our brave soldiers “baby killers” and spit on them as they came home from a place the government sent them.  It’s also ironic that the ones you call friends or also, the ones that made those statements about our soldiers and now they say that abortion is OK.  We can also look at how the government has caused of our steel and manufactering companies fleeing to other corners of the world.  We refuse to protect or borders from illegal immigrants into the country that our leaders took an oath to protect.   We had President tarnish the Presidency by having affair in the Oval office.  Maybe we can also add in homosexual marriage implying that we don’t stand up for the foundation of the family anymore.  These are some of the many things that have contributed to our moral down fall.

 People around the world don’t respect us because of what we did to keep us safe along with the rest of the world.  They don’t respect us because we no longer have cowboys like John Wynn or Clint Eastwood standing up for the Consecution and the American people.  All we have are a group of spineless town folks saying that we are sorry for the success we became and please don’t hurt us… we will give you all we have, if you just leave us alone. 

 The world knew and loved the strong America… the one that doesn’t start the fight but finishes it.  They also knew that we stood for God, the individual, freedom and family.  We showed the world that we did not need a government to tell us what to do as a people.  The government needs us to survive.  The world liked us because we worked hard and the government stayed out of the way so we could get rich or fail on our own.

 With Memorial Day just around the corner I know what we, as a Nation have to do.  We need to put away the party lines, the color of our skin, the religion we are.  We need to come together and pray as a Nation, that we find true leaders in ourselves and arise to take us back to the foundation of our Nation.  God, constitution, the individual and family.  As there are soldiers all over the world that have or are fighting for those freedoms that our forefathers set fort in the founding Documents.  I thank these brave men and women who stand up and defined this great Nation each and every day not the government that seems to. 

I have something to say to the American people. Don’t fall for this new lower interest rate that the government and the banks are showing you. All it is doing is starting the cycle over again. This time the cycle will take about 3 years before the housing market; car market and the banks all blow up again. We get into these cycles of debt and we live over our means. It is time that we pay down our personal debt and start to save some money for our selves. If we get ourselves out of debt we can take our Nation’s government back and pay down the national debt. Our parents were right when they said, “Misery loves company”, and that is what the government is doing now. The government is out of money and the countries that have been buying our debt are getting ready to stop buying any more of our Nation’s debt. The government is printing more money to stay afloat thus driving down our worth. So what we buy today will be worthless in a year. That means if you buy a product on debt today, by next year the product will cost less then the debt you have on it. If the government will not get itself in order, then the people of the Nation have to. If the leaders will not lead with honor and self-control, it is up to the people to show the leaders how. If they still don’t learn, then we have to vote them out. When we vote a person out of office, we place that vote based on their record and commitment to fiscal responsibility. The politicians are not the Nation. The Nation is an individual coming together under common beliefs and defense. 

 

My fellow Americans, may God save our union and future. President Obama has now said that our country is not a Christian Nation. President Obama, you went to Turkey and made this comment.   The media talked about where you went to church for Easter and had taken photos of you at church. You and your cabinet also go to church where previous Presidents have gone. How do you think the rest of the world took the news? Did they think that you lied to them about this country not being a Christian Nation? Well President Obama, I guess you need to think before you speak.   I’ve been told, “Mean what you say and say what you mean” and not just by Glenn Beck. I have been saying “If a politician can’t vote on their beliefs then they will vote their pocket book each time”.   Which type of politician will you be? Vote on your beliefs? Or, vote with your pocket book?

This country was founded on Judea-Christian values. Our founding fathers came to this continent to find freedom in Worshiping God. Just look to the New England States and the Pilgrims, or the Quakers who founded the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. They came here to get away from the King’s Church in England. The Europeans came to get away from the Roman Catholic Church. Our founding fathers also wrote that God was the comer stone of our Nation. The Bible was one of the first books in the public schools. President Obama, do you walk through the White House, the Capital Building and other buildings around DC with your eyes closed? Through out the buildings that our forefathers built are quotes from the Bible and the 10 commandments. Did you miss the fact that all Presidents from George Washington to your public swearing in as President of the United States of America was done on a Bible? The other idea is that this country was founded on a free market system. Businesses ran to this country for the chance at money. The businesses and our forefathers learned to succeed or fail on their own. We came to live with that risk of being a Republic. Which are the two things President Obama, you are trying to kill. God and the Republic. I know that when your term is over, you will drift into history. God, self, Republic, and the free market will always be at America’s core. 

 For the Nation and our future, President Obama I ask you to stop. Find a quit place to pray and remember what made this Great Nation. It was not the Government taking care of the people. It was the people taking care of themselves that made us the Last best hope of Earth. That is also why we have people from all over this world come to the shores of our Nation and take an oath to be an American Citizen.

My name is Ronald Brough and I live in Northeast Ohio.  The stimulus plan set forth by President Bush, President Obama and Congress needs to stop.  We as Americans have not seen any help from this waste of money. 

The definition of insanity is, doing the something over and over again and hoping for a different outcome.  This is where we are as a Nation.  We are spending more money then our great grandkids will ever earn.

With that said, you as the powers that be, need to stop and think of what would get this economy back on track.  If a company hears you and President Obama talk about raising taxes and adding new regulations to the businesses that are still in America, all they will do is button down the hatches and wait for the storm to pass.  They  have been doing this since 2007 and all they see is the hurricane flag still flying from DC.

It is time to look at a flat tax rate of 10% across the nation.  We are all in this together and we should all pay.  Then the government needs to get out of all GSE’s and other programs that do not protect us as a Nation.

This Great Country under no terms has seen it last days.  We will become stronger and more self reliant unto ourselves.  Just as the founding fathers tried to teach us.  We, the citizens of America, do not rely and should not rely on the government for every day life.  The Government relies on us to survive.  There are a couple of things that American history teaches us.  The number one lesson is that in the beginning of setting the foundation of this Government and country is that our forefathers did it with the belief in God and praying to him.  From George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and all the other great men and women that sacrificed to make this Country the last best hope for the world.

These men believed in Freedom in God, liberty, and life.  Without God to grant these freedoms we will lose them to the winds of the moment.  We as a country have grown in body and strength, but have lost our minds to Liberal Alzheimers.  Our history in this state has become foggy and out of context.  

Liberal Alzheimers – the ability to forget what made this country great, God, Hard work, tough against our enemies and self-reliance.

With the inauguration of Obama to the Presidency, we as a country have come full circle.  We have paid for our sins and fulfilled the dream of a few.  Now Rev. Martin Luther King JR. (DR.) speech (I have a Dream) is now in the hands of the ones who yell racism at every turn of life.  It is now to them to make the change.

“I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Georgia, the sons of former slaves and the sons of former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.” “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.” “I have a dream that one day every valley shall be exalted, and every hill and mountain shall be made low, the rough places will be made plain, and the crooked places will be made straight; "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together."” “And when this happens, when we allow freedom ring, when we let it ring from every village and every hamlet, from every state and every city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of God's children, black men and white men, Jews and Gentiles, Protestants and Catholics, will be able to join hands and sing in the words of the old Negro spiritual: Free at last! President Obama should be humble to the ones that came before to set this day in history.  The ones that could not get into collage, the ones who died to reunite this country on both sides during the Civil War.  Without the blood of the white soldier spilling for the black people to be free the march to DC would have been harder and bloodier.  For it was brother against brother it was State freedoms against Federal freedom.  It was also people like my mother who called the Nixon’s White House and talked to his Chief of Staff and got the US Marshals to the schools in Eunice, Louisiana.  It is also me as a parent today teaching my girls to look at someone’s character and heart, not to look at their color.

Now the hard work for us, as a Nation is to clean up the history from the 70’s to now.  It is time to get to a place of self-reliance. One where the Government steps back and lets the Nation’s citizens take the lead, to grow or fall on our own. What is it if we give up one slave owner for anther?  We took the chains of slavery off and now we look to the Government to be our new slave owner.  What is wrong with this idea?

We came to the T in the road of America.  Will we turn to the left and forget all the history that made us the Greatest Nation on Earth or turn right and like Rev. King said, we come together in brotherhood.  Put away our childish ways and make sure that our Grandkids Grandchildren are free to make there own decisions in a country that is Free in God, Hard work and self-reliance.

Think about it and pray that we never lose the right to speak our mind and worship in freedom.
