The Question of our time

The questions of our time.

                                        Can man govern himself? Can this nation sustain its self for generations to come?


There comes a time in our lives were we must ask can we still govern ourselves? A question that was asked and answered in 1776. With the words of a group of free people coming together with unalienable rights granted by God. The framers of our government would now question if their ideals were right.  Can a man govern himself?   The answer is the same today as it was then.  Yes we can. A free people with a guide post set in God and family can govern themselves. We have a proven record through the years since 1776. A small federal government and a stronger local government will always make a person more capable to be part of the community.  When there is a strong big federal government and a weak local government, some people will always just sit back and wait for someone else to do it or be willing to take whatever the government gives them.  Then after time it will wane the spirit out of the people and the Republic. This will Change our Republic, into a government that we and the framers would not or care to know.  

 Today we have to question were our government leaders are taking us. Do our elected leaders, of the people and for the people, care about the will of the people?  Or are they doing the will of their own greed and fame? The founders put their lives and fortune on the line for freedom. So why are we so willing to give up our freedoms, safety and fortunes for a scrap of food from
the table of government?    It was said by Thomas Jefferson "A government big enough to give you everything you need, is a government big enough to take away everything that you have...." Our freedom, safety and fortunes only come from God and hard work. Not from a few that we elected to represent us in a body of politicians that are in office to long and become corrupted by the power of the office and the hype of the press. It is also our responsibility to know what they are doing and know when it is time to vote a person out of office.

Our founders understood that absolute power corrupts absolutely, that was one reason why the framers of the American Government broke away from King George of England and his tyrant government. King George did not listen to the people, but
oppressed and taxed those people to the point of rebellion. Our founders put their trust in God, family and hard work. They did not put their trust in a big government that ruled from the top down, like King George of England. They understood that a strong
local government would make the citizens of the community stronger and self-reliant. They also found just in a short time that a strong small central government would need to be part of the American government if the nation would survive and not dissolve in disputes between the states. The federal government was to be the glue that kept the nation safe and a united people. It
was not to be a government that controlled the lives of the people or restrained capitalism and commerce.

We have to ask, do we dissolve the freedoms given to us by God or do we bare the yoke of a tyrant’s rant?  Our founding fathers of this great Nation stood against a tyrant King not just for themselves and their families; they did it for the generations to come, not just here in the United States of America, they did it also for all the people around the world.  We became that beacon in the night, that shining city on the hill and a free nation with the ability to read and learn for ourselves. Then why are we willing to give up that right for a false since of freedom. We have the ability to read and study the writings and letter of the men that penned our government and were they got their ideals. We don’t need to wait to be told what they meant, we can think for ourselves. So why is it that the drug of entitlements leads us to the end of freedom and into the hand of tyranny or outright anarchy? The framers with a stroke of the pen and debate give us hope in ourselves and with the hand of providence we won our
freedom from the King of England. 

So the question is now are we at the point in our history that a false freedom is more than true liberty? I’m here to stand with; (We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life,Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.) - (Declaration of Independence) and
God.   

Your question is now do you believe you can govern yourself better then a politician in a city that could be miles away?  I have faith in you and the rest of the American people that when we take time to think about the questions, that we will stand with God and his hand of providence and the freedoms there in. I also believe that when the American people stop and think about the questions, they will not stand for tyranny and political correctness. God’s true freedom leads to self-reliance and a true love of all his creation or are you willing to give it up for a tyrannical government that leads to the end of freedom and the death of millions? With us being able the govern ourselves and welling to take care of our neighbors, then this nation will be here for generations to come. 

The difference between want and need is greed.

It's time for DC to be an adult

Since the market is still dropping and the dollar is on life support, can we now be adults and come up with a real plan to save the
Republic?  We need to stop the infection, we keep putting on band aids and the wound is smelling and turning green. Let start with Cuts, Defunding, spinning off just some words to help understand the business side of life. The government does not need NPR, PBS, NEA, Public transportation, all GSE, the government czars.  We can also cut or defund AmeriCorps and the
Peace Corp then add the Mac’s. Stop all the subsidies. Then put the charity back in the hands of the churches and the people in the communities that know what their people need. After all these programs are gone, then we can sell the buildings and stop paying the utility and there is even more money saved. The next step is go to a flat tax of 10% were everyone pays on their gross. 

This is just some of the things I see we can do to save the Republic and still be the beacon of freedom on the hill.

A prayer

Our heavenly Father,
We ask you to lead us to stand for your will for this country. We ask you to
keep us safe and give us boldness to stand for what is right. God we ask you in Jesus name to give our
leaders now and to come the ability to hear your voice and remember what made
this country great and we ask that you keep your hand of providence on us as we
go through these trail, for we know without you dear father this nation would
have never grown into a country, that saved the world twice and tried to bring
liberty and your peace to the four corners of the world.


In Jesus name we pray,

A Good Leader

A good leader is not someone that pushes you though a door or forces you to do something you don’t want to do. A good leader takes you up to the door and tells you why we should go though it and also tells you what would happen if we stay.  Then the leader walks though the door and you follow because you care for the leader and he leads by example. That is why George Washington was so loved in this country. George Washington worked hard to get what he was given and he was humble when he was given the honor of leading the troops and then the country. What else put George Washington into the number one spot as the greatest leader of all times for the American people was he walked away when he did not have to. There was an unwritten honor code that the Presidents that came after George Washington followed - they would only do two terms like he did. It was not until FDR that someone broke the tradition and then had a law made to bring back a false honor. Some of the best leaders are the ones that are not talked about any more. We talk about the founding fathers of this great country, what about the ones that came before them. One of the first people that history over looks is Reverend John Robinson; he was a leader of the Pilgrims. He helped get them from England to Holland and then started on their way to the new world. Here in the colonies, we had people like William Bradford, Pastor John Cotton, and Robert Barclay (friend of William Penn and the Governor of East Jersey). There were people in and out of America that could feel the breath of God in the new world. They understood that it was a change at freedom not just in God but also in government. George Whitefield was a pastor that traveled in the Colonies and England talking about the new world and God. He touched the lives of many people, one of them being Ben Franklin. They became long life friends. In American and around the world was a time called The Great Awakening where God, personal responsibility and self governance was being talked about. These men were not out for the power of leading. They were in it for a short time to bring people to the door of freedom in God, Christ and free will. Something that we as a nation have forgot in the past 100 years. Generations before the founding fathers understood that a man taking care of his land and family was a free man. He would make the proper choices with God’s will guiding his life. They understood that a King or big government would take the freedom of men away if they felt their power slipping away.   Today we need to remember what The Great Awakening was and apply it currently. We need to find leaders that lead not for the power but for the heart of their family, God and country.

The brough plain

 

The Brough plain.

This bill will dissolve the IRS as we know it.  Each working person will pay 10% to the federal government from all they make in a year.  You can also ask to deduct up to 10% to pay the national debt found.  When you put into the national Debt found a % of your yearly pay.  The next years taxes will deducted the % you added to the year before.  After the National Debt is paid off the National Debt found turns into a national growth found, with 50% of the assets being used to generate more growth and the other 50% growing interested.

To get the new tax plan in action we have to first start cutting programs that are not needed.  We start with PBS, NPR, and National Endowment.  We also look into selling off Fanny May and Freddie Mac and the other GSE’s that the government owns. 

Second we merge the DEA, ATF into the Federal Marshalls with the boarder agency.  Cutting and reorganization of these agencies will be hard, but needed to cut wasteful spending and redundancy.

The world is on fire

America we are witching history replying itself. We have a weak government running the country, they are more interested in controlling the good hardworking people in America and letting the world catch on fire.

Before WWI broke out Europe was fighting with itself and Germany started taken over land and other Courtiers. America just stayed out of the fight till the sinking of the Lusitania and the outrage of the American people, we went to war.

Then before WWII Germany was having internal power struggles in their government and Japan was on the move, Italy was going out of control and the world was in the midst of a deputation. Again the American government was more about taken more freedom away from the American people.    Then Japan attacked Pearl Harbor and the people in America got mad and went to fight. 

Now since the late 1970’s we have been witching a fire start from a match, here in America we had a weak President and we were held hostage for 444 days. We were mad and voted out the President and Iran was having problems with other countries, so Iran let us go without a fight. Through the 1980’s and 90’s we saw attacks on planes and other smaller courtiers and we looked away. Now we are on the brink of a deputation worldwide. Europe is having problems people in Europe are protesting in the streets and starting fires. The Middle East is burning bright with Terrorist and Iran trying to over throw the freedom of people. Now we have North Korea attacking South Korea. The world is on fire and the President of America is weak and the country as a whole is in to deep of debt to act. We put a fire brake in this world fire in 2000 and though 2006 it worked, then we lost the vision and our history and voted out the fire brake and then vote in a leader that could speak and not lead.

What we need is to pray and ask God to forgive us and praise him for a great country he gives us so we can help the world. Then we need to get out of debt and fire the President and pray that God puts the right person in the Presidency and replace the weak leaders in Congress.   We as a nation of free people should remember we need to take care of each other and not the government doing it for us.   The only way we fall is when we don’t stand together. Look at the past and read the words of the leaders that got us through the worse times in our history and pray. The world is on fire and we have to be the nation of firefighters.   Because if it is not us then it will be someone not born in freedom and oppression will rule the world.

This Great Nation

I will stand with the founding fathers on how the government should be run. The government should be smaller than it is. The federal government is not the hope or faith of the people of this great land nor is it the office of charity. 

Our founding fathers knew that hope came from the family.  Faith came from belief in God and charity comes from the heart of the community taking care of itself. Our founding fathers of this great nation knew what unchecked power leads to. A government (King or other type) would over run and in slave its people with laws and force. They knew that that a free country, with free people that would think for themselves, would take care of the problems that faced the community without government interference. 

They knew that a strong family with a father that inspired his children to do better them him, would teach his children how to be upstanding citizens. They also knew that a mother who showed their children love, understanding, and hope would round off what her husband taught them about business and honor.

The founding fathers also knew that government working with religion would bring faith that a family could make it through any problem, at any time, and the hand of providence would spare this great nation from doom. Our founding fathers opened up each session of Congress with a prayer. The President and elected officials are sworn in on a Bible. The buildings that were built to conduct government business had Biblical quotes written in stone around it. They understood that taking God out of the laws and community would decay the family and the nation.

The founding fathers also understood that when hope in the family and faith in God came together, it would breed charity to the community. The founding fathers knew it was the Pastor that was the community organizer and the congregation that did the work. They would get together and fix what needed to be fixed. Feed who needed to be fed and love with a heart of compassion that only a neighbor could do. For out of compassion comes charity. Passing laws will not dictate what a person will do. 

Our founding fathers knew what it meant to be a leader in America. It meant you lead from a safe distance. Let the family care for itself. Let families and churches come together to care for the community. Let the community take care of their cities and the cities would take care of the counties. Let the counties take care of the states, and the states would take care of the Federal Government. This is self governing that was spoken about during the birth of this great nation. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. There was nothing in the writings of these great men that said we must govern from the top down, tell the citizens how to act, what to say and what to eat. It was up to you if you wanted to be an idiot, you could be that. You would have to answer to a group of your pears.  So how come we are 180 degrees out of alignment with what the founding fathers’ wrote? 

I believe that a hand full of people decided to take control of this government and not let it go. They found that the power was good and no one was keeping them in check. They found that killing the family and the families trust in God would give them more power over the citizens of this nation, not caring what would happen to it. 

It is time the citizens and offspring’s of the founding fathers take back our birth right and demand that we go back to the way this country was founded. Faith, Hope and Charity! This starts in the homes and churches and spreads like a wave over this great nation again. Cleaning out the rotting ideals that could destroyed us. God save us all.

We can all be heroes and leaders.

At my church the Pastor started a series on heroes on the 4th of July and it started with some of our founding fathers. Then people in the Bible. Today it was about the widow that gave two copper coins, the Samaritan and the follows of Jesus that cut off the ear of the high priest’s servant.  The widow was a hero because she put the needs of others before herself. The Good Samaritan helps a person that could not help themselves.  

It shows that you can be a hero at sometime in your life. It just takes time to know who you are and what you stand for. Living in this great country that was founded in freedom of God and gives us all that chance. We as Americans have a birthright to become all we can be. The first thing that we need to know is that with God this land became a country. The leaders on the word of God wrote documents that gave us a government that is for the people and by the people.   If you think I’m wrong look up George Whitefield http://www.christianitytoday.com/ch/131christians/evangelistsandapologists/whitefield.html

After doing your own search and reading not just on the history but the words inked by the men that thought and wrote them, then you can make your own determination on the founding of this great country. America a place a poor person can grow up to be richer then they thought they could ever be or a rich man can spend himself into the poor house. Someone that does not have a voice could find it protecting someone else. What you put into your life is what you get. This is what our founding fathers gave us. A country that has done more good in the world as a group of individuals coming together with a heart to fight for freedom and equity in this country and around the world.  

We need to honor the founding fathers memories by keeping this country rooted in God with leaders that are strong in their faith and grounded in the history of this great country. Leaders that are not afraid to make the hard choices that fall on the rights of the Constitution and the people of America. Not leaders that are dictated by the polls or that look to foreign countries laws or how rich they will become when they are out of office. 

You can be that leader that the country needs. Start on your street, then your city, then state and then country. To be a good leader we also must understand the country and the people that live in it, do not owe us anything for being born. We owe everything to the people that came before and protect the future of the ones not yet born.

Out of Control

 

Out of Control

The Federal Government is out of control.  They have lost the ideal of States rights and over all American Citizenship. We are 50 States with rights to protect its citizens and if the State citizens don’t like the States laws they can change them, by changing the leaders. The Federal government is only there to protect the boards of the states and the country. With illegal immigrants coming over the board like water over filling a glass, the Federal government is to protect us from the illegal immigrants. We could use George Patton on the Arizona board to protect us. Get the US Army Corps of Engineers to build a wall 20’ deep, 20’ feet high and 30’ feet wide. Start charging the Mexican government for holding and returning the illegal immigrants to them. Mexico would put you in jail and then return you. We need to have the finger of blame go from the Arizona’s law and to the lack of control of the boards by the government.    Stay strong Arizona we are with you.

In the eyes of an old solder

An old man sets on the church steps looking at the American flag flying in the town square.
In the uniform he wore when he was a soldier fighting in the war.
The pastor comes and sets be side asking what’s on your mind?
With a tear in his eye he replies.
I witch that flag and remember when I was young and tan taken enemy land
I also can remember when my friends and brothers were dying on occupied land.
I now set as an old man with my eyes on a land that can’t remember when we saved the world
From a group of men that believed freedom was in their hands. 
I set here between the flag of the country I serviced and the cross of my Lord that died for freedom of all mankind.
I pray that as I walk today I walk with honor and I might hear someone say
“Thank you for serving and defining us on that day, on a land far way.” 
The Pastor takes the old man’s hand said I’ll march with you today. For God and Country and all the ones that fall on those days.

Thoughts from the mind of Ronald Brough

In life you get one chance to make a difference. Make it a difference for the next generation and not just for this one.

For a good man to see evil and do nothing makes him nolonger a good man.

I’m a deep thinker in my own mind.

Trying to be everything to everyone makes you lose your own identity.

I think to deep to be a Liberal, therefore I’m a Conservative.

What made the greatest generation great was not what they did; it was why they did it.

To make us great we most look to our future by three generations.

Having kids is a young couple’s game on an old couple’s money, so go to college to start.

Putting your trust in government is losing faith in yourself.

The best leaders are the ones who work for it; they lead by example... just not given the leadership on flowery speeches.

Continuing to rob Peter to pay Paul will soon make everyone broke.

God has never let me down; I have let him down more then I can say.

At the end of the day only you will be put in the box and have to face God alone.

If politicians can’t use their faith in God to vote, then they will use their pocket book.

Liberal Alzheimers – the ability to forget what made this country great, God, Hard work, tuff against our enemies and self-reliance.

To known the truth, means that someone will say your wrong.

To honor those who died to keep the dream of America free, I most know the dream they were fighting for.

A Liberal is a Liberal; A Conservative is a Conservative. When they come up with a program that works is progressive.

To know the truth is to be grounded in reality. 
 
When the Government gets too big. The common man needs to stand up and take a stand for freedom.
 
God gave us Jesus to save us from ourselves.  We gave ourselves a government to protect us.  We need to always stay in God's hand so that the government does not take our freedoms way.

We the people, control the government, not the government controlling us.

We have a new mantra coming from our elected officials, saying “The government is broken.”   These politicians are still doing the same things that got us into this problem. To become a true leader in America, they could start by shrinking the government and cutting the taxes that hold back all the Americans from becoming the best that they can be. 

We can do these at the local and federal levels of government. Let’s take Ohio, were I live, for example. In the next year Ohio will face a 7 to 8 billion deficit. They can’t fund the schools, Police, and Fire departments without raising taxes in Ohio. The people and business that can leave the State do so without hesitation, leavening the rest with more taxes to pay. 

It’s time that the States and Federal Government stop and look at itself as a business. If a business is bankrupt and the consumers are not willing or able to pay the higher sales price for faulty goods and services, it will close. The management has a few things it can do. One, it could cut the price of its product. Two, cut staff and pay roll. Three, close the doors and become part of history. This is where the local and Federal governments are today. They lived on projected income and high overhead. The consumer (the American people and businesses) have to take responsibility for their money because the government does not. The government prints more money and takes from a generation that has not started to work yet.

One of the first things that the government can do is take a 5% pay cut across the board, just like they tell the business they should do. Second, Ohio needs to put each school district on the same books, supply chain, and pay scale for teachers. The more of the same books and equipment you buy, the cheaper it gets. Third, merge all of the cities together that go to the same school district. Take Mayfield City school District, they have 4 cities that make up the district. If you merge all 4 cities together, you’d end up with one mayor, one Police chef, one Fire chef, one City Hall, and one council person per old city and with one at large, giving you five on city council. Fourth, the merger of all these cities would allow the counties to merge together.  Once you merge counties together, you can draw a box around the county that surrounds Columbus and then make a line North, South, East and West from the center of the box. You would then have one State Senator and two State Representatives per new district lines. They would be the North West, South West, South East, North East and Columbus. These would take the State Senators from 33 to 5 and the State Representatives from 98 to 10. This would cut the Ohio budget in half. We the people of Ohio would not have to pay for their salaries, utilities for their offices, staff, and other things that our taxes go to.

Once we prove that it works in the States, we move it to the Federal Government. Shrinking the size of government will mean that all citizens of America will have to step up and become more involved in the way government is run. This is what our founding fathers made it to be. We the people, control the government, not the government controlling us.

Defund GESs and other govenment programs?

Why we can’t defund them and companies like PBS, NPR and the National Endowment for the Arts?  I have been looking into GSEs and cannot find how many GSEs that are out there and how much they make or loss.  We the American people have grown up and we are ready to not just touch the third rail but we are ready and willing to hold onto it and to fix it. Take Homosexual marriage each time you put it to a vote, it is said that marriage is one man and one woman. Our government needs to stop thinking that we are kids that need to be told what to do. We the people in this Country that were born here or swore to protect America, like my wife did in 2003 when she became a citizen from Poland, are the American government. This is a Government for the people, by the people.

Can anyone out there help me understand a few things?

I  

I know that I’m not sleeping and I have not stepped into the looking glass. How can this be the country that fights for freedom to be individual people governing with a little government interference? We are the country that does not start the fight but is not afraid to finish them.  We as a Nation have been our own biggest down fall, thanking that we can talk to people that would like to see us wiped of the face of the earth and our history gone with the wind.   We can’t keep thinking that talk and paying people and other governments off will make us save.

When do we start standing up for ourselves and be what our forefathers wonted us to be?

      Maybe you can answer some of these questions?
 
 

1.       Will the Amish go to jail, because they do not have health insurance?

2.       When did the military have the right to arrest anyone American or foreign?

3.       When do we start prosecuting our solders for doing their jobs and keeping us save?

4.       How can raising taxes and passing cap and trade help spear the economy?

5.       Why would Ohio State government start to tax the hospitals, when the federal trying to take control of health care?
